ANALYSIS AND MODELLING SERVICES
3GreenTree has an extensive background in providing analysis and modelling to guide and support the management of natural resources. Below are just a few examples of the types of projects we've been invloved in.

STRATEGIC, MULTI-OBJECTIVE LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT PLANNING
Protect and Enhance the Flow of Ecosystem Services from Your Land
We work closely with clients to identify their needs and goals with respect to forests and other natural resources including wetlands and riparian areas. We can provide support with the development of criteria and indicators to evaluate potential planning outcomes. Moreover, we can employ a wide range of modelling and analysis tools to conduct detailed scenario analyses to explore management alternatives in the context of climate change and changing economic conditions.

NATURAL DISTURBANCE IMPACT AND MITIGATION ANALYSIS
Create Effective Mitigation Strategies to Protect Resources
With our extensive academic and industry connections we have fostered many partnerships to facilitate the analysis of alternative strategies for mitigating the impacts of natural disturbance agents of forest resources. Examples of a recent projects include the development and application of spatial models to examine the efficacy of different treatment options for reducing the impact of mountain pine beetle outbreaks in British Columbia and Alberta. We can use our expertise to customize models and decision support tools to support your management needs and objectives.

ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION AND IMPACT ASSESSMENT
Foster the Development of Resilient Ecosystems
3GreenTree has been active in ecosystem restoration and impact assessment work for more than a decade. Much of our work came from projects in the Alberta oil sands region, providing guidance and input on forest ecosystem reclamation practices. This challenging work helped us to build considerable knowledge with respect to forest restoration methods. We used customized modelling tools and expertise to simulate and evaluate the efficacy of different rehabilitation techniques and helped to develop decision-support systems and provincial guidelines.
